Monastic Life

I am beginning to encourage the growth of a monastic community in Lawrence, Kansas. Here are the core values of the community:

1. hospitality
2. contemplation
3. compassion
4. justice

As an introduction, here are the ingredients for the long-term vision:

1. Location: downtown Lawrence, Kansas
2. Educational opportunities: K - Adult
3. Residential facilities: temporary, student, transitional and ordinand
4. Comfort station (warm/cold drinks and light snacks for those in need)
5. A place of peace
   
6. A place of contemplation
